HEAVEN HAS A FLAT ROOF

Whenever it's cloudy and overcast in Los Angeles I always get nostalgic for the east coast where I grew up. The suburb of my youth was standard and unremarkable but I like to imagine that I actually grew up in Hollin Hills, a modernists haven located in Northern Virginia.

  3. Just came across this post-- we have driven thru Hollin Hills many times, and have gone to several open houses to just to look. It's such a great neighborhood! Unfortunately, we can't afford anything there.

Next time you're back back east, try to get up here and we'll take a drive!

  4. Wow, your flat roof looks amazing! It goes well with the glass walls of the house. We also have a flat roof that we turned into a terrace. I like it more than sloped roofs because of its useful functions.

  5. You made a good choice of putting up a flat roof for your “almost” glass walled house. I guess it’s because your house is located in the middle of a garden paradise. It definitely feels good living in a place like this!

  6. It was a good choice to have a flat roof for your house. Aside from that it requires only low maintenance, it is cheaper compared to other roofing materials. Also, it provides better light and ventilation and adds beauty to your house.
